Jaspreet is a transactions lawyer specialising in private mergers and acquisitions and funds management. She aims to guide clients with precision, diligence and unwavering commitment to their success. Jaspreet strives to help clients navigate the complexities of corporate transactions with confidence and clarity.

Jaspreet’s recent work includes:

  • Involvement in the acquisition of 100% of the issued share capital of a Victorian business by a US listed entity. The deal was valued at approximately US$63 million and required extensive legal due diligence on various areas of the business including corporate, property, intellectual property, litigation and business contracts;
  • Involvement in the acquisition of a freight business operating in Australia and New Zealand by a European company;
  • Advising a Responsible Entity regarding an ASIC Stop order issued to the Responsible Entity in relation to a Target Market Determination;
  • Drafting fund documentation and providing advice to the Trustee of an unlisted property trust with a diversified portfolio of direct properties and listed property securities;
  • Advising a Singapore based subsidiary of a large multinational oil and gas public company regarding Australia’s autonomous sanctions regimes;
  • Providing advice to a multinational company specialising in aerospace defence and security in relation to Australia’s foreign investment regime and FIRB; and
  • Drafting and reviewing various commercial documents including shareholder agreements, contracts, trading terms and conditions and distribution agreements of an Australian plant-based manufacturing company.

Jaspreet completed the Juris Doctor degree from the University of Melbourne. She was one of the first recipients of the Alex Chernov Scholarship at Melbourne law school.

Jaspreet strongly believes in giving back to the community. She was a part of the student division of Lawyers without Borders (LWOB) at her university. She also volunteers with other not for profit organisations.
