Jason leads our Property and Real Assets practice. He is an experienced property and infrastructure lawyer who advises clients nationally, with an emphasis on complex projects and transactions. Clients regularly call upon him for his strategic and pragmatic advice.

He advises on traditional real estate transactions (industrial, retail, office and social infrastructure), natural resources (including agriculture), infrastructure (storage, transport, energy infrastructure and ports) and property-backed finance transactions.

Recent experience includes acting for:

  • Inheritance Capital Asset Management (ICAM) on the acquisition of IKEA’s Adelaide distribution centre;
  • ROC Partners on the acquisition of Pace Farms (Australia’s second largest egg supplier);
  • Australian Naval Infrastructure in connection with the acquisition and development of land for Commonwealth shipbuilding purposes;
  • Renewal SA in connection with the development, sale, and long-term leasing of the old South Australian Tonsley Mitsubishi Manufacturing site;
  • ROC Partners on the acquisition and long-term lease of agricultural land in Queensland;
  • SACARE on its partnership and property arrangements with Pemba Capital Partners; and
  • Common Equity NSW in respect of its long-term tenure and leasing arrangements for its NSW community housing portfolio.

He was previously recognised by Doyle’s Guide as a National Rising Star in property and is currently a member of the Property Council of Australia’s Taxation Committee (SA). Jason also provides teaching support to the Law Society of South Australia on post graduate property courses.
