James Linton


James provides a commercial approach to corporate transactions while understanding that each transaction is unique in its variable and client objective.

James specialises in mergers and acquisitions, equity capital markets and corporate structuring and governance. He has experience in preparing and reviewing documents including business sale agreements, shareholders agreements, subscription agreements, option agreements and corporate governance documents. James has also prepared an application for relief to ASIC in relation to an IPO and regularly prepares advice for clients.

James grew up in the United States where he studied economics and political science at the University of Michigan. Prior to practicing law James worked for the US Treasury Department. James also lived in Brazil for several years and brings a breadth of practical and commercial experience and a comprehensive perspective to the work he does for clients.
