Mark Henderson takes the plunge, gets feet wet as member of top industry board

Kain Lawyers’ Mark Henderson has held off a strong field to win election to the board of the Water Industry Alliance (‘the Alliance‘), where his local and global expertise in commercial water law and infrastructure projects is poised to deliver enormous benefit to the WIA as it sets out to implement a bold new strategic direction.

The Alliance is a respected peak body that represents more than 150 members across the greater South Australian water industry and voted at its recent AGM to adopt a new strategic plan to grow both the local and international industry sectors.

Mark, who as many of you will know, joined Kain Lawyers earlier this year as a director and heads up the firm’s crucial Property, Construction and Infrastructure group. He’s highly regarded for the innovative approach he brings to the advice he provides clients and the role he plays in creating opportunities for their business.

As a new member of the high quality board working with the executive team at the Alliance, Mark will draw on his decade of advising Australian and British clients on a broad range of water industry matters to help the Alliance further improve its practices and improve its services to members working in the water industry at home and abroad.

It’s a great vote of confidence in Mark’s expertise, especially at such an important juncture in the Alliance’s history. His extensive experience and skills set add to the board’s diversity and will go a long way towards helping the Alliance to provide even more growth channels for the world leading water industry we have right here in South Australia.

While clearly honoured to have been elected to the board of this well respected industry body, Mark is delighted that the Alliance’s renewed focus on growth for the industry aligns with his passion for creating opportunities for growing and profitable South Australian businesses.

The Board includes representatives from private industry, the research sector and the South Australian government. Mark is looking forward to working with the high quality board and executive team which the Alliance has assembled.

We are sure you will join us in wishing Mark a successful and rewarding chapter as a board member of the Water Industry Alliance.
