An uplift in the M&A market throughout 2017 has seen Kain Lawyers close 44 deals worth more than $1BN in aggregate, a statistic that has ranked them alongside other top tier Corporate heavyweights as one of the top 5 most active legal advisory firms in Australia.
This national activity has also seen Kains listed as a leading Corporate and Commercial firm in this week’s Doyle’s Guide announcement of the leading corporate law firms in South Australia.
For the third year running Kain Lawyers has been ranked as one of the top three Corporate and Commercial firms in South Australia, with all six corporate and commercial Directors being individually recognised for their expertise, highlighting the depth of the team.
“We are not a traditional firm” commented Gerry Cawson, who heads the Corporate team at Kain Lawyers and who, along with Managing Director John Kain, was ranked as a ‘pre-eminent’ corporate adviser.
“The experience and expertise of our senior lawyers and our approach to creating opportunities means that we’re a credible alternative to the traditional corporate law firms.”
“It’s really heartening to see Michael Garry, James Burchnall and Sarah Chia being recognised by their peers and clients for their ability to deliver excellent outcomes for their clients in even the most complex of matters”.
“As a direct result of our quality of work and reputation in the market we’ve had senior lawyers from top tier firms across Australia join our team. That’s really exciting as it means we continue to build depth and expertise to the offering we can provide our clients”, said Managing Director, John Kain
“We’ve prided ourselves on building out a deep domain expertise across not only complex transactions and advice but also in dispute solutions. When our clients come to us they know that they’re not relying on one individual but can rest easy knowing that there’s a whole team of experts to deliver their commercial objectives on time and budget and without getting in the way of their business” commented Mr Kain.
